Welcome to June!  I think we made it!  This month, I am so lucky to have some of my paintings hanging at a local joint in South Minneapolis, MN, called The Riverview Cafe and Wine Bar.  Please stop on by to have a cup of joe or a glass of pinot, whichever flips your lid, and take a gander at my art work!  The opening will be this Wednesday, June 5th at 6:00 PM until 10:00 PM.  The wine bar also hosts live music, and for the opening, I believe a jazz trio will perform for our pleasure.

The Riverview Cafe and Wine Bar is in my local “Longfellow” neighborhood of south Minneapolis, at 3753 42nd Avenue South, Minneapolis, MN 55406.  Besides coffee and pastry goodies, they also have an array of sandwiches, etc.  On the Wine Bar side of the building, you can order most any kind of wine, as well as learn about it through “flights”… tiny glasses filled with different brands of the same type.  It’s wine tasting for the rest of us!  They have live music as well, so come for the art, have some wine or coffee and stay for the music!

This show, I plan on rolling out a bit of technology for you all… “QR Codes”… you know, those little square symbols made up of smaller squares, which you “scan” with your smartphone!  My older brother and website guru, Jim Weispfenning, is helping me implement this feat.  All I do is record a short voice memo blurb on my smart phone, send it to him and he sends me the QR Code.  Then, I’ll print it out, affix it next to the regular label and you scan it!  Viola!  You can hear my voice explain about each painting!  It’s a free audio tour just like those big museums!  Technology is so cool!
